I am so impressed with my class-mates socks I've decided to "86" this attempt.

I simply do not like this sock. I can't think of anything I'd like less than trying to make another remotely like it.... I know I could not get the pattern to match up, not that that would make the disappointment less.

So I've taken it off the loom and made the loom smaller by 4 pins and am going to use a different yarn. I don't own anything dead plain, so I'm using a Vinca with not so much contrast. If I have to I will BUY some plain yarn to do this sock in. It's a great sock!

    Aha! I thought I spotted a gourd in the mist of the loom knitting :-D I crafted gourds for several years before I took up loom knitting and I dearly love gourds.

    BTW - You're sock is not all that bad - better than mine since I've never made a pair of socks ;-)
