I gave some kool-aide dyeing a whirl and came up with something kind of fun, though I haven't decided what to make from it.

Ready for the steam bath.

Drying in the kitchen

I don't know how the pros wind it up into tidy beautiful gems, but this was my final outcome.

I am so impressed with my class-mates socks I've decided to "86" this attempt.

I simply do not like this sock. I can't think of anything I'd like less than trying to make another remotely like it.... I know I could not get the pattern to match up, not that that would make the disappointment less.

So I've taken it off the loom and made the loom smaller by 4 pins and am going to use a different yarn. I don't own anything dead plain, so I'm using a Vinca with not so much contrast. If I have to I will BUY some plain yarn to do this sock in. It's a great sock!

Sock is progressing. The cat got tangled in my working yarn and took the whole works flying and crashing around the room, but the whole thing survived! The sock was fidgeted back somewhat into shape and the Loom survived a horrible bashing with flying colors. The cat was freaked out, but is fine.

My first Isela sock trying to get started.

I had a time getting to that from my first go, which produced this:

This one required a little getting used to but I never in a million years would have thought I could do something that comes out so tiny and nicely done in the end.
